Kindersley Regional Airport

The Kindersley Regional Airport is a busy airport utilized by regular charter aircraft flying customers in to attend meetings, courier services, Medi-vacs, flight training, and aerial spray operations. There are also a large number of recreational pilots who use the Kindersley Regional Airport as a fuel stop.

The Kindersley Regional Airport has two runways and, as of November 2012, certification with Transport Canada has been discontinued. View certification information. The airport manager oversees daily operations and contracts additional help when required.

Airport Governance

The Kindersley Regional Airport is governed by a board formed by the Town of Kindersley and the Rural Municipalities of Kindersley #290, Oakdale #320, Antelope Park #322, Milton #292 and Prairie dale #321. There are also members at large who represent the oil and gas sector, West Central Enterprise Region, and other aviation stakeholders.

This initiative earned the Kindersley Regional Airport the 2009 Saskatchewan Municipal Award for Regional Partnerships. Operations of the Airport are regulated by the Town of Kindersley Bylaw 11-16.

The airport is located north of the Town of Kindersley.

Kindersley Regional Airport has two runways:

  • Runway 08/26  75' x 3500'
  • Runway 17/35  100' x 2200' 

The runways are well-maintained and in excellent condition. Runway 17/35 is a grass strip, maintained during the summer only and does not have lighting. Runway 08/26 is asphalt, maintained year-round.
