Description: The Town of Kindersley is an active and growing community that serves as the hub for business and recreation in the West Central Saskatchewan region. We are seeking a full-time Facilities Manager to join our skilled and energetic Community Services team.
Reporting directly to the Director of Community Services or designate, and in partnership with the Manager of Recreation, this position is responsible for the building systems, equipment and materials, and day-to-day maintenance and operation of all Town of Kindersley facilities.

Requirements:
  • Supervising daily operations and maintenance of all Town of Kindersley facilities and ensuring that all staff have the required skills and certification to safely operate the facilities, systems and equipment.
  • Implementing, maintaining, and overseeing the preventative maintenance program for Town of Kindersley facilities, systems, and equipment, in accordance with the Town’s Asset Management Plan.
  • Assist with policy development and establishing standards and procedures related to physical plant operation, maintenance, and other defined areas of responsibility.
  • Managing and overseeing maintenance and caretaker contracts.
  • Enforcing policies regarding the use of Town-owned facilities, the security, safety and cleanliness of each.
  • Making recommendations on policies and/or purchase of capital items that will serve to improve the operation of all facilities. 
Skills:
  • Post-secondary training in Recreation Facilities Maintenance or minimum of two years related experience
  • Ability to effectively plan, organize, direct and supervise personnel and contractors engaged in the maintenance and construction of facility projects
  • Working knowledge of all facilities systems including civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, environmental, hydraulics, refrigeration, chlorination, and filtration systems.
  • Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with the general public, elected officials, other Town personnel, businesses, and other outside agencies
  • Highly developed leadership, management, and supervisory skills, including effective oral and written communication
