The Kindersley Integrated Health Care Facility consists of the Kindersley District Hospital and Heritage Manor located at 1003 1st Street West. Acute, long-term care, and emergency health services are provided by the Heartland Health Region .
The Kindersley Clinic is located beside the Kindersley Hospital on 1st Street West. The Kindersley Clinic has the ability to do tonsillectomies, most minor surgeries, and obstetrics including C-sections. There are doctors employed at the clinic, laboratory facilities and lab technicians.

Physician services are provided at the KINDERSLEY CLINIC. The Kindersley Clinic is open Monday – Thursday from 0830 to 1700 and Friday from 0900 to 1700. For an appointment please call 306‐463‐2621. The public is urged to seek non‐emergent care at the clinic.
Emergency Room Services
The emergency department of the Kindersley and District Health Care Facility (KDHCF) is staffed with trained Registered Nurses who have access to an on call physician 24 hours a day and are able to provide emergency assessment and stabilization services.
The KDHCF provides outpatient services. Outpatient services are typically anticipated or scheduled and require a physician order. i.e. dressing changes, suture/staple removal, or medication injections/infusions.
Laboratory and X‐ray services are available at the KDHCF Monday through Friday from 0800 to 1700 as well as after hours for emergencies as required. Ultrasound services are also available by booked appointment.
Acute Care Inpatients
The KDHCF offers inpatient services for medical, obstetrical and surgical care patients. The facility offers 26 acute care beds (including newborn, program and overflow beds) with 24 hour RN coverage.

KDHCF provides regularly scheduled surgical services with local surgeons and anesthetists as well as visiting (itinerant) surgeons. Itinerant surgical specialties include orthopedics, gynecology, general and endoscopy. You are encouraged to discuss your surgical options with your referring physician as you may be eligible to have your surgery performed in Heartland

Community Oncology Program of Saskatchewan (COPS)
COPS is a program of the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency coordinated by the Saskatoon Cancer Centre in partnership with Heartland Health Region and is available at the KDHCF. COPS centres have nurses and pharmacists who are specially trained in providing cancer care. The cancer physicians (Oncologists) have responsibility for the overall management and prescribing of treatments, thus as a patient you are required to have a referral from your Oncologist to receive treatment (chemotherapy and/or supportive) at the COPS centre.
Home Care Services:
Home Support Services are available 7 days/week in Kindersley and area and Home Care Nursing services are available 5 days/week. Wellness Clinics are also held in a variety of locations in Kindersley approximately twice a month. Access to Volunteer services (volunteers for meals on wheels, drivers for clients to appointments) is available through the Volunteer Services Coordinator at the KDHCF 306‐463‐ 1000 ext 204.
Long Term Care Services:
KDHCF has 79 long term and program beds (including respite and palliative care). For inquiries/assessments please call the Client Care Coordinator at 306‐463‐4944.
Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Services:
A Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist and Community Therapy Aide provide therapy services Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm at KIHCF. To book an appointment please call 306‐463‐1000 ext 326 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.
A Dietitian is based at the KDHCF 5 days/ wk and provides scheduled clinic days in Eston, Eatonia and Kerrobert . For appointments please call 306‐463‐1000 ext 223.
Diabetes Nurse Educator
A Diabetes Nurse Educator is available at KDHCF and also travels to Kerrobert. For appointments please call: 306‐463–1000 ext. 222.

Mental Health and Addiction Services:
In the KDHCF a Community Mental Health Nurse provides services to clients with chronic mental health illnesses, Adult and Child & Youth Counselors provide individual counseling services, Addiction Counselors and the Youth Outreach Worker provide alcohol, drug and gambling counseling. A Podiatrist provides a clinic in the KDHCF on the 4th Tuesday of every month. On each Tuesday of the month, the Advanced Foot Care Nurse provides services on an appointment basis. For appointments, please call 306‐882‐6413 ext. 276.
Public Health Services:
Public Health Nurses and an International Travel and Public Health Nurse are located in Kindersley. They provide child health clinics throughout the month in the facility as well as providing clinics and immunization services in the schools and community of Kindersley, Eatonia, Eston and surrounding areas. The Public Health Inspector is based in the KDHCF and does regular visits to restaurants, businesses, water plants, pools, etc. covering the Kindersley Public Health Services Area. Please call 306‐463‐1000 ext 235.
Other Regional Services
The Region employs an Autism Spectrum Disorder Consultant and two Autism Support workers who provide services to children with autism spectrum disorders from age 0 to 18 years for the entire Region. Dental Health Educator
There is a Dental Health Educator for the region located in Rosetown. She is presently involved in a prevention program doing fluoride varnishes and sealants on children who have been identified as at risk for future dental caries. Kids First Community Developer
The Region receives funding from the Ministry of Education’s Kids First Program to employ a Community Developer. The Community Developer works with community members to provide services to families of young children such as literacy programming and Family Resource Centres. Community Inclusion Support Services
Community Inclusion Support Services provides support services to clients who have intellectual challenges and work with clients and families to obtain the supports and respite they need for clients transitioning from school into the community. Speech Language Pathology
An Early Childhood Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides services to children from 0 to school entrance. The SLP is headquartered in Rosetown and can be reached at 306‐882‐6413 Ext. 290.
Other Community Services
In some instances, your local pharmacist may have the ability to extend your refill or provide an emergency supply of prescribed medications. Community pharmacists have the ability to prescribe certain medications for specific minor ailment conditions, including:
- Minor acne;
- Insect bites;
- Cold sores;
- Allergic rhinitis;
- Oral thrush;
- Diaper rash; and
- Canker Sores.
