The Town of Kindersley is proud to recognize our Public Works employees, administration and operational staff, who ensure that public facilities, infrastructure, and utility systems are maintained and safely operated to provide for our citizens' daily needs. National Public Works Week is recognized throughout Canada from May 20-26, 2018. Council adopted the following resolution at the April 23, 2018 Regular Meeting of Council:

Resolution 153-18:

Whereas the Council of the Town of Kindersley recognizes that infrastructure, facilities, and services are of vital importance to the health, safety and well-being of residents; and

Whereas such infrastructure, facilities, and services could not exist without the dedicated efforts of Public Works professionals representing every level of government who must design, build, operate, and maintain the transportation, water supply, wastewater systems, public buildings, and other infrastructure, facilities, and services essential to serve our residents;

Therefore, I, Mayor Rod Perkins, do hereby proclaim the week of May 20-26, 2018 to be National Public Works Week in the Town of Kindersley; and

That I urge all our people to join with representatives of governmental agencies to pay tribute to our public works engineers, administrators, and operational staff, and to recognize the substantial contributions they have made to our national health and welfare,

That the Council of the Town of Kindersley encourages all residents to pay tribute to our Public Works staff, and to recognize the substantial contributions they have made to our community.
