The Town of Kindersley will receive $14,500 toward events this year that commemorate Canada’s 150th anniversary and promote community celebration.

These grants from the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th are created by a collaboration between the Government of Canada and the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation ($14,500) and the Town of Kindersley ($14,500). Kindersley will receive $7,500 to fund the July 1st Canada Day festivities, and $7,000 for the RCMP Musical Ride, which will be hosted at the West Central Events Centre (WCEC), May 27-28, 2017.

Tickets for the RCMP Musical Ride will be released soon. There will be three performances held in Kindersley; two on Saturday, May 27 at 1:30 pm and 7:00 pm, and one on Sunday, May 28 at 1:30 pm.

Canada Day festivities are still being planned but so far include activities at Baker Park, Kindersley Christian Fellowship, and Kindersley and District Plains Museum, followed by fireworks at dusk.
