Fire Ban - Until Further Notice

Fire Ban - Until Further Notice

Please be advised that due to generally dry conditions in the area, an increased risk of fire has been assessed for  the Town of Kindersley. Consequently, a ban has been placed on all private and public lands within the geographic boundary of the Town of Kindersley for the following:

  1. ALL open fires
  2. ALL fire pits
  3. ALL fireworks

The following are permitted but must be supervised at all times during use:

  1. Gas and charcoal-briquette barbecues with lids, and
  2. Chiminea, which are defined as freestanding front-loading fireplaces or ovens with a bulbous body and usually a vertical smoke vent or chimney.

Fire bans are also currently in place in many of the surrounding municipalities in the area. The fire ban will be in effect immediately and will remain in effect  until conditions improve and the Declaration is rescinded.

Failure to comply with this ban, may result in a fine of up to $5000 per individual, and $10,000 per company or corporation. See Bylaw 23-09.
