Having commemorated the sod-turning for Kindersley’s new indoor aquatic centre on July 5, Council is now set to focus efforts on obtaining sponsorship and donations for the $6.6 million project.

The Fill the Pool Campaign will officially launch on Monday, July 10 and will offer a variety of options for businesses and individuals to make financial contributions to the indoor aquatic centre. Naming rights and sponsorship opportunities exist for the building itself as well as the pool components and other equipment contained within.

The 21,000 ft² facility will boast a Junior Olympics-size 6-lane pool, a 2500 ft² leisure pool, hot tub, 150 ft waterslide, rock climbing wall, party rooms, and outdoor patio, among other features. Construction is scheduled to be complete for the pool to be operational by October 2018.
