Town Council held their Regular Meeting on Monday, October 22, 2018. The following resolutions were made regarding an Option to Purchase Agreement, a Kindersley Tourism advertisement, and approval of the Consent Agenda.

Council directed the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to enter an Option to Purchase Agreement with Her Majesty the Queen for land to be utilized for the location of the new RCMP Detachment. It will be located adjacent to Highway 21, North of the current landfill.

Council viewed a Power Point Presentation regarding the highlights of a successful 2018 Kindersley Tourism season and plans for the 2019 season. Administration was directed to place an advertisement in the Southern Saskatchewan Tourism Magazine to promote Kindersley Tourism at a cost of $3,400 including applicable taxes. The cost will be paid from the 2018 Council approved Community Grant Program Surplus.

Council accepted as submitted the list of accounts paid by the Town of Kindersley in the amount of $436, 839.12.

The Consent Agenda was approved including the following items: Correspondence for Acceptance and Filing (West Central Abilities- Art Extravaganza Poster, Sask Housing Corp- Ministerial Order of Appointment, Kindersley RCMP- Notice of Town Hall Meeting- November 2018, Kindersley RCMP- Statistics Summary September 2018, SaskWater- WTP Operational Report September 2018, Sask Highway Corridor Meeting October 2018) and Minutes from Committees Reporting to the CAO and Council (SSRWS- September 26, 2018).
