Town Council held their Regular Meeting on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. The following resolutions were made regarding Aquatic Centre fees, representatives to the Executive Board of the Western Regional Landfill Inc, and more.

Council approved the presentation of the rates for the new Aquatic Centre. This is one more step complete towards opening the facility in January 2019.

Mayor Rod Perkins, Councilor Dean Galbraith, Town of Kindersley Director-Transportation & Environmental Services Kim Vogel, and Curtis Sackville were recommended as representatives to the Executive Board of the Western Regional Landfill Inc (WRLI) to be decided during their November 20, 2018 WRLI Annual General Meeting.

Two presentations were heard during the evening. One consisted of the progress to date as well as upgrades necessary for the Norman Ritchie Community Centre. There are many bookings that will require the space to be in the best shape possible.

The next presentation included the results of a social media survey completed in regards to the Dedicated Municipal Land North of O'Connor Park. Over 1000 residents engaged with the Town of Kindersley social media outlets during that poll. Thank you for your support.

The list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley was accepted in the amount of $916,897.60.

November 17-25 has been proclaimed as Saskatchewan Multicultural Week in the Town of Kindersley. The Council urges residents to promote this year's theme "Who's Your Multicultural Superhero?" and to participate in educating themselves on multiculturalism by visiting www.mcos.ca to find more information.

Make sure to take the time to get to know your neighbors and fellow community members. You can learn so much from the people around you and make lifelong friends.
