Council Highlights-January 28, 2019 Regular Meeting

Town Council held their Regular Meeting on Monday, January 28, 2019. The following resolutions were made regarding the date of the by-election, the SaskAlert system, and a website provider.

April 3rd, 2019 will be the date of the by-election for the vacated seat of Councillor. CAO Audrey Hebert was named Returning Officer for said by-election. It was resolved that as previous Town Council Elections, Criminal Record Checks must accompany election nomination forms. The remuneration rates for election officials will be as follows including $14.00 or lunch and $19.00 or supper:
1. Returning Officer - Regular Poll $300 - Advance Poll $0
2. Deputy Returning Officer - Regular Poll $175 - Advance Poll $75
3. Poll/Election Clerk - Regular Poll $140 - Advance Poll $60
4. Constable - Regular $100 - Advance Poll $50

Council resolved to enter into a partnership with the RM of Kindersley No. 290 to provide the Kindersley Fire Department with the opportunity to issue alerts on scene using the Saskatchewan Public Alerting System Program "SaskAlert".

Council directed the Mayor or designate and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to enter into an agreement with JEM Creative Solutions to provide website hosting for the Town of Kindersley. The current website and recreation software provider, PathFive will be ceasing operations late June 2019 and will not be able to host in the future.

Accounts were accepted as submitted as paid in the amount of $319, 061.47.
