What’s something in common between trees, mattresses, tractor seats, and cardboard? They all DO NOT belong on the ground at our Compost and Recycle Centre on highway 21. Spring is always a disappointing time when the snow melts and we see so much garbage left behind. Kindersley is our HOME please treat it better.
When working on spring cleaning (or whatever you call it, guess it looks like winter outside again 🥶) please remember that:
– The Kindersley Compost and Recycle Centre accepts in the Compost Area (unbagged leaves, grass clippings, branches, non-woody vegetation, and plant waste). The compost area is open in spring once the ground is dry. In the Recycle Bins (household tin and aluminum, plastics #1 to #7, and mixed paper and cardboard). Please breakdown cardboard boxes to fit into the bins. Recycle can also go in your BLUE Loraas bins and compost curb side bins are also available through Loraas.
– Waste must go in your GREY (residential) or RED (commercial) Loraas bin or must be hauled to the Western Regional Landfill.
