You might see our crews out steaming catch-basins, main storm drains, and culverts to address the accumulation of water on the streets from the freezing/thawing temperatures we have had lately. If you have a concern about drainage on your street, please let us know and Public Works will respond on a priority basis. Public Works crews try to respond as quickly as possible.

Thin Ice!

With warming temperatures, ice on bodies of water will start becoming dangerous. Please keep pets and children away from any body of water that is iced over. If you see someone or something fall through ice, stop and immediately call 911. The Kindersley Fire Brigade has the training and equipment to safely rescue those in distress. Do NOT go onto the ice yourself.

Waste & Recycle Carts

Every person shall keep the lid of the waste and recycle cart tightly closed. It shall be policy for the waste or recycle material not to be collected if the lid is not in the closed position. Bylaw 12-19, Section 6 Paragraph f. Contravention of any provision of Bylaw 12-19 may result in a fine.

Parking or Stopping in “Fire Lane” designated area can be dangerous for both the person parked and those in an emergency situation. Registered owners of vehicles can be issued tickets amounting to $250 ($100 if paid within 10 days from violation). Please be aware of “Fire Lane” areas around stores and public facilities.
