Halloween Suggested Community Trick-or-Treating Hours

Hoping to have trick-or-treaters come by your place on Halloween? Please keep your porch lights on and add a few Halloween decorations if you are able! These are just suggested hours, so if you wish to continue handing out candy later, please keep your lights on! If you want to head to bed or head out early, be sure to turn off your porch lights, jack-o-lanterns, and Halloween decorations.

Purple Thursday Proclamation 2023

Mayor Rod Perkins proclaimed October 19, 2023 as Canadian Royal Purple’s National Purple Thursday. Council encourages residents to wear purple on National Purple Thursday (October 19, 2023) to raise awareness of the intersection of Acquired Brain Injury and the incidence of Interpersonal Violence which effects as high as one in three women in Canada.
