Rail Safety Week 2023

Mayor Rod Perkins proclaimed September 18 to 24, 2023 to be Rail Safety Week. CN has requested the Council of the Town of Kindersley to adopt a resolution in support of its ongoing efforts to raise awareness, save lives, and prevent injuries in communities including our municipality.

Water Leak – 100 Block Between 6th Avenue West & 7th Avenue West

*UPDATE* the water advisory is over! *UPDATE* The water leak has been fixed, but the Precautionary Water Advisory is still on until two consecutive samples come back from the lab saying it is safe to drink. We expect that to be mid next week! We have a water leak located on the 100 block between 6th Avenue West and 7th Avenue West. The water will be shut off in approximately 20 minutes for repair, and will be turned back on once the repair is completed. Terry Fox Walk 2023

Lots going on for the Terry Fox Walk this year! The Kindersley Community Terry Fox Run will occur on September 17th starting at 1:00pm at the Motherwell Beach & Recreation Area. Stop by between 12:30pm and 1:00pm to register in person. SLOW DOWN!

A friendly reminder, especially now that school is in, to abide by speed signs in town. Remember that posted speeds are "maximums" and there may be times that you need to SLOW DOWN. Please remember as we move into fall and unfortunately, winter, to drive for the weather conditions. Please contact the local RCMP to report speeders, etc.

Winterizing Your Sprinkler System

Reminder that as the weather cools off, you will need to winterize your sprinkler system! Here's a quick reminder of how that works: 1. Shut Off the Water. 2. Turn Off the Timer. 3. Drain the Water - Might consist of Manual Draining, Automatic Draining, or Blow-Out Draining. 4. Insulate Above ground components. 5. Always check the owner's manual before winterizing!
