RESIDENTIAL AREA – Some Snow Clearing Reminders

RESIDENTIAL AREA When clearing snow, ice, or debris, into piles, during the removal process, piles shall not exceed two (2) metres in height, within seven and one-half (7.5) metres of a roadway or a adjacent property. Snow cannot be moved on to roadways or your neighbors property! Excess snow should be taken to the snow disposal sites. The Owner of property in a residential district shall ensure that public sidewalks adjacent to their property are clear and safe for pedestrian use within forty-eight (48) hours from the time when the snow, ice, or other debris have begun to accumulate.

COMMERCIAL AREA – properties on the north side of Railway Ave, Main Street, facing highway 7 and 21, 10th Street W, 9th Ave E and East Crossing area (ZONES C1, C2, C3, C4 AND C5) When clearing snow, ice, or debris, into piles, during the removal process, piles shall not exceed two (2) meters in length or height for a period longer than forty-eight (48) hours (must be cleared and taken to the provided snow disposal site) and must not be placed within seven and one-half (7.5) metres of a roadway or adjacent property. INDUSTRIAL AREA – Some Snow Clearing Reminders

INDUSTRIAL AREA - West of highway 21 and south of highway 7 AND properties on the south side of Railway Ave (ZONES M1, M2 AND RW) When clearing snow, ice, or debris, into piles, during the removal process, piles shall not be placed within seven and one-half (7.5) metres of a roadway or adjacent property and must not be placed in public drainage ditches. It is best practice to clear snow piles and move them to the provided snow disposal site provided by the Town of Kindersley.

With all the excitement of getting snow and working to clear your properties we thought you might find a little reminder of Kindersley’s snow removal bylaw helpful. Excess snow should be cleared and taken to the snow disposal site. It can be found in the field near our friends at Walmart and the Kindersley Museum! Controlled Burn Continues

For anyone who’s wondering what we’re burning - sticks, logs, branches, prunings from trees. The controlled burn will go on throughout the week at the Old Landfill site, we have all appropriate permits in place!

Our team is out working on clearing snow in the red and green parts of the map to start - so emergency routes and 1st priority. For both safety and efficiency remember to please avoid the snow removal equipment. Please do not shovel your snow onto the street as that undoes our snow removal.

Kindersley RCMP Request the Public’s Help in Identifying Theft Suspect

Just prior to Christmas the Pharmasave in Kindersley had an unknown female remove over $400 in items without paying. The Kindersley RCMP are requesting that if anyone has any information regarding the female in the picture to call the Kindersley RCMP Detachment or contact Crime Stoppers. In addition to the theft Kindersley RCMP responded to a further 33 calls for service from January 1st to January 7th which included, but was not limited to, two traffic collisions, four suspicious person complaints, one impaired driving complaint and two assault complaints that resulted in charges.
